Back From Vacation

Vacation is over and it's back to work. I'm still trying to catch up on sleep and getting used to East Coast time again, but the weekend is near. I'll be posting some more pics over the next few days. Hope everyone had a good weekend.

Oregon, here we come!!!

We're leaving for vacation tomorrow morning sometime before 4am so this will be my last post until after our trip. Red Coral

It is early Wednesday morning and I'm about to leave for work. It has been raining all night, at times quiet heavily. So much so that I actually woke up an one point in the middle of the night and that just doesn't happen. I want to post another one of my favorite pieces this morning.

Red Coral is a great in many ways. The variety of shapes and sizes, couple with the deep red color make it an incredibly unique stone.

A Very Cold Monday Morning!!

OK, They say that it's around zero degrees here with the windchill. Though there are far colder places, this is the coldest we've had here so far for the year. This is a short week since I'm going on vacation on Friday to Mt Hood for a little skiing so I figured I'd start early. This is another of my favorite gemstones - Carnelian. It's translucent red color is just gorgeous.
