OK, They say that it's around zero degrees here with the windchill. Though there are far colder places, this is the coldest we've had here so far for the year. This is a short week since I'm going on vacation on Friday to Mt Hood for a little skiing so I figured I'd start early. This is another of my favorite gemstones - Carnelian. It's translucent red color is just gorgeous.
